The AirFree Onix 3000 air sterilizer delivers relief from allergy symptoms and produces healthy, breathable air. These units use nothing but heat to remove a host of allergens, bacteria, and viruses. How It Works - The heart and soul of the AirFree air purifier is its patented Thermodynamic Sterilizing System (TSS™). In this system, air enters the unit and is drawn into a ceramic sterilizing cylinder. This ceramic cylinder heats the air to around 400º F, completely incinerating 99.99% of all microorganisms, including mold, bacteria, and viruses such as SARS and avian flu. Pollution particles, such as pollen, dust mite allergens, and pet dander, are also super-heated -- making them completely harmless to you and your allergies. The clean air is then cooled and released back into the room.

AirFree Onix 3000 Air Purifier Review

I have been researching Air Cleaners for about a year and was set on getting an IQair cleaner when I saw a review on the AirFree Onix 3000 Air Purifier. I was intrigued that the Airfree was using new technology that used heat to clean the air and required no filters so my annual costs would be a lot less than the IQair's. Since I wanted to put this in my bedroom the Airfree being completely quiet while the IQair was 48db at it's lowest setting was an important factor in the airfree's favor also. The Airfree is also small in size which made my wife happy as she was not crazy about putting something like the IQair that reminded her of a small furnace or refrigerator in her bedroom. Maybe they should make these things in wood tones like Cherry wood, well anyway I received the AirFree Onix 3000 Air Purifier from Sylvane a couple of days ago and plugged it in right away. Now I wait to see if the airfree will do the trick. The only way I'll be able to tell if it's doing the job (since there are no filters I can take out and look at) is if my sinuses clear up, which may take a week to as much as a month according to the instructions. My wife likes the soft blue light shining out the top as it gives us a nice nightlight. Will it work as well as the IQair probably not but if it does a reasonable job it will be worth it considering all the advantages I listed above.
My wife and I are very happy with our purchase so far. I also would like to thank Sylvane for providing lots of info on their website and making my purchase and delivery easy and problem free :).
