Beautifully designed, absolutely silent. Most importantly, it seems effective even in the very short time since plugging it in--about 2 weeks. The other day, when sitting in that room, I realized that I was clearly breathing more easily and more deeply. Subtle at first, but a small price to pay for such a valuable thing.

We purchased a Sylvane AirFree air purifier more than a month ago. At that time, my wife had been suffering with a non-productive cough. After having lung x-rays, various pulmonary tests, and prescriptions, and using the P1000, for only a week or two, she is now fully healed with no remaining coughing sprees. I think it was the combination of medication and the AirFree unit that finally solved the problem. In any case, we are very thankful for the doctors, the medication, and Syvane's AirFree P1000 for her successful recovery.

It is very quiet, but I didn't feel that it really cleaned the air. We still woke up with sinus headaches. That is the reason that we purchased it. It was to help with our allergies. I am very disappointed in the product for what it cost.

Purchased this for my mother who has some respiratory problems (uses a nebulizer daily) and I was concerned about the air quality that she was exposed to. She uses this one in her bedroom and it has made a significant difference. It is quiet, the night light provides good ambient lighting and you can "smell" the difference in the air. It has a very "clean" smell that is definitely different from other rooms. I will be ordering the larger size for use in other areas of the house.

I bought this product because I have a shower in a bathroom that does not get much airflow and that, of course, means mold. Since I started running the unit, the mold has decreased dramatically. I own an IQAir Healthpro Plus, which takes care of the air quality for most of my apartment, so I can't speak to its ability for other remove other air contaminants.
