I think this product works, but not for a very large area. I bought it for a 700 square foot apartment with smoking neighbors. It does not come assembled. The manual is a generic one that serves for many of their models, and there was no picture of my model, leading me to believe that one of the filters was missing.

When I called Allerair customer service, the rep, who is very humorous, said "we have children draw our illustrations, and we give them drops." (Canadian for "medicine".) Well, it's nice to have a sense of humor, but not when your customer is putting together an apparatus to help them BREATHE!

Furthermore, when I finally got the thing assembled, I couldn't get in the last screw because they sent a certain pad that was too thick. They later sent another thinner pad when I called to complain. While I was waiting for the other pad, I did just try to use the Allerair as it was. It seemed to work beautifully if I parked myself right in front of it. I ended up deciding to try another brand, so I sent this one back.

That other brand didn't do a very good job either, so after all was said and done, I probably should have kept the Allerair...at least it was pretty good for a very small area. But if I could give Allerair some advice: send the customer an ASSEMBLED unit! Do a better job of printing a MANUAL for each model...how hard could that be?
