The box spring protector also kills the allergens already living inside by cutting off access to their food supply (your skin). With a pore size of 0 and a unique breathable barrier, this dust mite proof box spring cover offers 100% protection against bedroom allergy-triggers while staying cool and comfortable.
The Econoshield Box Spring Cover is made of 100% polypropylene non-woven fabric. Although it lacks an inner membrane, this dust mite barrier is constructed in such a manner that the fabric still acts like a membrane, letting zero allergens through. Three layers of fabric – Spunbond, Meltblown, and Spunbond Polypropylene – are melted and fused together to create the barrier. Unlike other dust mite proof bedcovers with vinyl membranes, which can be loud and cause skin irritation, AllerSoft’s Econoshield cover is quiet and soft-to-the-touch.
Caring for this boxspring cover is a breeze. Simply hand-wash the cover in cold water and let it air dry. The fabric will maintain its pore-free construction and original size throughout multiple washings. Regular use of the AllerSoft Econoshield Box Spring Cover will help relieve symptoms stemming from allergy, sinusitis, allergic eczema, asthma, sinus pressure, and general congestion conditions.

I purchased the box spring cover at the same time that I got the mattress cover and was pleased to see that both were made of strong, sturdy material. Just like the mattress cover, it was easy to install the box spring cover (it unzips on three sides) by lifting up the box springs, lowering the cover over it, putting the box springs down and, voila, zip the box spring cover up. My husband and I were done in just a few minutes. Make sure you measure so you order the right size. We're very pleased with the fit and the construction. Definitely recommended.
