My wife and I purchased this to replace a cheap mattress cover that we bought at Walmart. The old cover was quite hot, and made it difficult to sleep. The new cover doesn't have that problem, as well as being more durable and easier to install on our mattress. Quite pleased with this product so far (~a month).

After my allergist suggested I encase my mattress to protect against dust mites, I checked all over the web and wasn't sure which brand to try. After reading reviews I finally settled on the AllerSoft.

When it arrived I was pleased to see that it was made of sturdy fabric so it wouldn't tear when my husband and I put it on the mattress. It unzips on three sides so you can tip the mattress up, slip the cover over it, lower the mattress down and then zip the cover up. I had a concern it might be more difficult than this to put on the mattress. It took us minutes. AllerSoft says you can wash the cover, but usually you can just vacuum it. We keep a mattress pad over it and that gets washed instead. I'm very pleased with the quality of construction and ease of installation of this product. I recommend it to anyone else considering encasing their mattress. Be sure to measure before ordering. The fit on ours was just right.
