Infrared Heat Technology
Using 35 to 50 percent less energy than traditional electric baseboard heaters, these portable heaters deliver focused warmth with infrared technology. Each heater contains four quartz infrared bulbs that deliver maximum heat output so your space can feel comfortable and warm. When used as a supplemental source of heat, the American Comfort ACW 1500W Heater adequately warms the area you spend the most time in, which allows you to lower the thermostat on your central heating system and reap the benefits of a lower energy bill.
In addition to being powerful and quiet, infrared heat is safe for your indoor environment. This eco-friendly heating method produces whole-room heating without emitting gases or fumes. Although it does use a small fan to distribute heat, the American Comfort infrared heater releases healthy, therapeutic heat and it prevents dry throat, cracked lips, itchy skin, and other symptoms that often result from the dry heated air produced by some fan-forced heaters.

To quickly heat up our office. We shut off our house except for the kitchen and living room and maintain a temp of 68 with a quartz heater. When we get up we turn the other quartz heater on in the office and it heats it up in about 10 minutes. We have saved enough to be able to purchase the new one on the savings.

This heater is great it warms the room especially if the room is drafty . What I truly like is that it is pet safe. I have a little pit mix named Naja that loves toplay in the snow but hates the cold when he comes in from playing outside he goes right over to the American Comfort heater and sits in front of it , he turns side to side, and then his rear so all of him is warm. Last week he even brought his toy over to warm up too !
