Trusted portable AC manufacturer Amcor officially ceased operation in the fall of 2009. Following Amcor's dissolution, New Jersey-based American Comfort Worldwide—a leading developer of portable cooling and heating technologies—acquired the remaining Amcor portable air conditioner inventory.
American Comfort now carries a complete line of portable air conditioners that are similar in form, function, and price to Amcor portable air conditioners, including the popular Amcor NanoMax Portable AC models. American Comfort portable air conditioners are available in varying BTU capacities and feature a wide range of control features for simple setup and reliable long-term use. Some models also use convenient self-evaporating technology that automatically removes most condensate and reduces your need to empty it manually. Check out our line-up of American Comfort portable air conditioner models in the chart below.

American Comfort ACW300 Series Portable Air Conditioner
American Comfort ACW400 Series Portable Air Conditioners
Following in the path of Amcor and its patented NanoMist technology, American Comfort is developing an auto-draining condensate system that will function almost identical to the Amcor NanoMist system found on the Amcor NanoMax A12000E and A12000EH portable air conditioners. The new American Comfort AutoDrain technology removes excess water from the portable AC's internal drain bucket and transforms it into a fine mist using a water atomizer. The mist is then vaporized during the hot air exhausting process and expelled outside through a window along with the exhaust. Amcor air conditioner users will appreciate the same NanoMist convenience that American Comfort's AutoDrain system brings. The new American Comfort portable air conditioners with AutoDrain are scheduled to be released in late summer 2010.
