Because BLUEWAVE™ represents only a narrow slice of the visible light spectrum, it cannot be measured accurately with a lux meter. For best results, place your goLITE p1 or P2 so it bathes your face in blue light. It is NOT necessary to look directly at the light. Many people use the light on a counter, table, or desk. You can read, eat, work at your computer, watch TV, or exercise while using your light. Light therapy is through the retina of the eyes, not through the skin. This is not a tanning light.
