Product Overview

Combining multiple stages of filtration is the key to the effectiveness of the Aquasana water purifier. Two separate filtering cartridges are housed within the countertop unit which work together to eliminate sediments and contaminants from municipal water. With Aquasana, clean, healthy water is available for just pennies a day.

As water passes through the first cartridge, large sediment is removed, along with chlorine, the most concentrated chemical found in standard tap water. The second cartridge then continues the cleaning process by removing more stubborn contaminants. Lead, for example, is removed through a process of ion exchange where harmful lead particles are replaced with healthy potassium particles. Potassium is one of the naturally occurring minerals that give water a pleasant taste and neutral pH. It is also in this second cartridge that harmful Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) such as pesticides and industrial solvents are removed. These filtration processes result in remarkably clean, great tasting water.
