High-Quality Filters
Austin Air only incorporates True Medical-Grade HEPA and activated carbon filters inside its air purifiers. These filters are designed to effectively remove particles, gases, and odors. The standard model – the HealthMate – contains 60 sq. ft. of particle filtration material and 15 lbs. of carbon granules, more than any other unit in its class. Additionally, these filters can last up to 5 years. Exceptionally long filter lives help to make these air cleaners some of the most economical units on the market today.
Warranty
Each air purifier comes with a 5-Year Mechanical Warranty as well as a 5-Year Pro-Rated Filter Warranty. These warranty plans are considered to be the most comprehensive in the industry. Each unit is also sold with a 30-Day No-Questions-Asked Guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your air cleaner for any reason, you can return it within 30 days, no questions asked.
Maintenance
Under normal operating conditions, these units require minimal maintenance. The company recommends that you gently vacuum the exterior grille of your air purifier every several weeks to pull off any large dust particles that may be blocking airflow through the grille and inner pre-filter.
Filter Replacement
Filters must be changed every 4 to 5 years depending on your usage of the unit. If the filters are exposed to higher than normal levels of particles and/or gases, however, they might need to be changed more often. Air filters of similar sizes are interchangeable in any Austin Air unit, provided that it is within the correct model series. For example, a HealthMate Plus filter can also be used in the standard HealthMate air cleaner, and a HEGA Allergy Machine Jr. filter can double as a filter in the standard Allergy Machine air purifier.
