This attractive console humidifier by Essick Air—formerly known as a Bemis humidifier—disperses 10 gallons of comfortable moisture each day to cover an area sized up to 2,100 square feet. The Essick Air 447-400HB Whole House Humidifier features attractive cabinet housing in oak burl that blends easily with nearly any decor. Use the convenient digital controls to setup operation. Just set the onboard humidistat to your desired humidity level and the unit automatically cycles on and off to maintain that humidity level. Alternatively, you can run the cool mist humidifier continuously using the 2-speed control to find the right humidification speed for your space.

I bought this humidifier and the web site said it was in stock and would ship in 2-3 days. After a week I contacted Sylvane and was told it was coming from the manufacturer and they were asking for shipping information. Waited another four days and was told it was shipping that day. Arrived late that week. Did not work. Constantly flashed "F" meaning the tank was not filling, the bottles were empty. No they were not. Called the company. "Oh, yes, some of that model had caps that had too short plungers, so we'll send you new ones." Waited another week. New bottle caps arrived. Still does not work. They asked me if it was on a "level" surface. NO! I put it on my ship in the middle of the ocean! YES...it is on a level floor. Now I have to wait for their "warranty" department to contact me about what to do.
A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK. IT IS WORTHLESS AND NO ONE SEEMS IN A BIG HURRY TO FIX IT!

I'm very pleased with this humidifier. It operates quietly and given its size is fairly unobtrusive visually. I have a new grand piano for which consistent humidity is essential. The Bemis meets this requirement easily. Refilling the water reservoirs is straightforward although they are somewhat heavy when full. In my house they only require attention every five or six days.

This particular humidifier has done a great job. It is keeping the humidity in the house at a even level. It has made a noticable difference. It is very quiet, which is important.

Well-engineered, lightweight, easy to use, easy to keep clean. I have musical instruments that greatly benefited from having some relative humidity put back into the air. Anything wood reacts to changes in relative humidity content in the air. Musical Instruments, Antique Furniture can dry out and crack from prolonged exposure to dry air.

Works great. My only complaint is that the tanks still hold about a quart of water when the warning light comes on to alert you that the tanks are empty.

Works extremely well. My basement is fairly large and my woodstove cranks out a lot of hot, dry air in the winter. The humidifier gets the humidity up above 30%, which is good down there (it usually hovers below 10% with the stove going). Without the stove on it gets the basement above 50%. On high the fan is very loud, on low it is unnoticeable. On high, each water tank lasts about 18 hours; on low, each tank lasts about 48 hours.
The humidifier switches tanks when one is empty, and turns off automatically when there is no water, as expected. One note, order a bacteriostat. The small bottle that comes with it won't last long if you run your humidifier 24/7 (which I do). Your filter will last much longer.

I bought this unit 2 years ago and love it. It is quiet and easy to fill and clean. It puts out enough humidity to take care of my house and4 rooms. Iv'e had other humidifiers and didn't like them as they were to hard to clean. I need some replacement filters and air filters but can't find this model on your web site and I don't want to order the wrong ones.
