I use in my one bedroom apartment during the winter and it does a great job, however, the high fan setting is very loud but low works well enough the high setting isn't needed. I only fill once in the morning and once in the evening. It uses about 21/2 to 3 gallons in 24 hrs.

What a great humidifier! This was a fantastic investment. We selected this model based on price and the previous reviews (and free shipping!). We heat our three level house with a pellet stove (in the basement) in the winter and while it is fantastically economical it is about as dry a heat as you can get. That combined with an uncharacteristically dry winter has left everyone a little dehydrated. The unit shipped very quickly, we received it withing the same week as ordering it and there was a holiday in the middle of the week.

This unit was a breeze to put together and fill. We love that we can fill it a pitcher at a time and not have to lug large containers of water back and forth to the humidifier and then wrestle them into the unit while water is dripping everywhere. Another plus is the settings and auto control, select the percent of humidity you want and the unit will cycle on and off without you babysitting it. It is very quiet and easily tucked into a corner of the living room. It's next to a vent that the heat rises from and is humidifying the heated air. Almost immediately after turning it on the room it is in felt better and within a couple of hours the bedrooms upstairs felt better.

We've only had the unit a few days, but no one has any complaints and it is a very welcomed addition to the family! We will never suffer a dry winter again.

I don't feel like I have a jet liner warming up in the house - it is quiet and I really like being able to see the level of humidity in my home.

Pros:
Compact, easy to store.
This product works well.
It adequately humidifies my 1000 square foot house.
Quiet mode is very quiet.
Cons:
The unit runs constant when in quiet mode to humidify my 1000 square foot house. I would like to see a medium setting.
High speed is very loud.
I find it slightly difficult to align the Top to the basin.

Overall I believe it is worth the price and does the job.

We currently have 5 of these units installed in 5 different laboratories at my place of employment. One has bit the bullet after 2 year of use - Motor controller is beyond economical repair. 3 of the labs are larger than my home. They perform well to keep the humidity to an acceptable level for ESD (very expensive prototype electronic cameras)and the labs actually feel better. Buying one for my home, my wife ,my kids and the dogs.

Bought this one to replace old same model we had for years until the motor burned out. Easy to fill, no bottles, just a big tank. Old filters still fit new model. Nothing lasts forever, but old one gave us our money's worth. Great unit.

A bit difficult to read manual and the filter has collapsed a bit in the first month. Would hope there is a better product out there.

We have had this model for 4 years. It is quiet and does an excellent job of reducing the static and dry skin we experience in the winter.

My wife and dogs were having problems with dry, itchy skin. We bought this to bring some moisture back into the air in the house and have been pleasantly surprised on how fast the dry skin left. Runs very quiet on low fan but the high fan speed sounds like a high speed fan, not very quiet...but it does the job we expected and therefore we are pleased!
