American Comfort Portable ACs Now Feature Auto-Drain Technology

American Comfort portable air conditionersIf you have particularly hot areas of your home that require a supplemental cooling source or if you’ve been looking for ways to lower your cooling costs without sacrificing comfort, you’ve probably considered purchasing a portable air conditioner. But I’m sure you’re not interested in a run-of-the-mill portable AC.

No, you want a portable air conditioner that is affordable and effective with user-friendly features and low maintenance to boot, right? Well, let me introduce you to the American Comfort portable air conditioner line.

American Comfort portable air conditioners cool spaces up to 450 square feet with cooling capacities of up to 13,000 BTUs. Each unit includes a programmable timer, an auto shut-off feature, and a window exhaust kit. Did I mention that these portable air conditioners come with remote controls, adjustable louvers, and LED display panels?

American Comfort ACW500Some models, like the American Comfort ACW500CH and the American Comfort ACW300CH, even feature heat pumps. But the best thing about these portable coolers is the super convenient self-draining system.

While cooling your room, portable air conditioner units also remove moisture from your indoor air. The condensate water is typically collected in a drain bucket that you, in turn, have to manually empty every time it reaches capacity. Needless to say, after a while that can become quite a hassle.

With American Comfort’s new AutoDrain technology, you practically never have to dump the condensate bucket. This innovative drainage method turns collected water into an ultra-fine mist and releases the mist droplets outside. All you have to do is place the spiral water pipe into the exhaust hose, connect the water atomizer to the end of the pipe, and voila, true set-and-forget operation is yours in a snap.

American Comfort 300CThe innovative AutoDrain technology is now standard on three of the most popular American Comfort portable AC models. In addition to boasting self-draining capabilities, these portable coolers feature energy-efficient cooling. While most of the condensate water is transformed into a fine mist, it also helps to keep the compressor and other internal components cool.

Equipped with thermostatic control, two fan speeds, and a 12-hour timer, the American Comfort ACW300C is a 10,000-BTU portable air conditioner with an optional heat pump.

The American Comfort ACW500C is a 13,000-BTU portable air conditioner that removes up to 66 pints of excess moisture per day. Spotlighting with the highest cooling capacities in the American ACW Series collection, the ACW500 Series portable ACs come in a sleek, black finish and are equipped with odor-eliminating carbon filters and 24-hour programmable timers.

Compact and powerful, the American Comfort ACW200CH doubles as a portable air conditioner and heater. Perfect as a room air conditioner, the American Comfort ACW200C delivers 8,000 BTUs of direct cooling power.

can i get a manual for the 14000 btu modle

  3. We don’t offer that model so don’t have the manual, but you can contact American Comfort to get a copy. Their number is 1-877-645-0299.

  4. This model collects moisture from your air as it cools, and this moisture needs to be drained into either a bucket or put through a hose to a drain. If it’s leaking out the drain port, then you may have an issue. Feel free to call Soleus ((888) 876-5387) or us here at Sylvane ((800) 934-9194) if you need assistance.
