If there’s one cleaning chore that I dislike more than vacuuming, it has to be mopping – at least in the conventional sense of the verb. Traditional mopping involves filling up a bucket with water and spreading chemicals across the floor with a germ-infested mop that you have to wring out with your hands. Yuck!
Now there’s a much more pleasant alternative to traditional mopping: the Bissell Steam Mop. This chemical-free cleaning machine works well on smooth floor surfaces like marble, ceramic, stone, vinyl, laminated, linoleum, and sealed hardwood floors.
Simply fill up the steam mop’s tank with regular tap water, and you’re ready to go. No bucket. No chemical cleaners. The Bissell mop heats up the water in just 30 seconds to produce a steam vapor that’s around 240 degrees Fahrenheit – hot enough to kill bacteria, mold, dust mites, viruses, and other germs on contact.
The Bissell vapor steam mop sanitizes more efficiently than chemical solutions because its steam penetrates deep into tiny cracks in the floor. Traditional mops leave behind germs as well as a toxic chemical residue! Parents and pet owners particularly appreciate the fact that the Bissell steam mop provides a truly green cleaning method that’s safe for the whole family.
Furthermore, mopping is so much easier with the Bissell mop because you don’t have to bend over and strain your back muscles. This modern mop allows you to stand up straight and simply guide the lightweight frame along the floor, pulling the easy trigger to release steam. The powerful cleaning action of the steam loosens dirt so that you don’t have to work so hard, and a 360-degree swivel head makes it easy to clean in tight spaces and under furniture.
Clean up is a snap, too. Forget about tossing out that bucket of filthy water! When you’re finished with the Bissell steam mop, simply remove the microfiber pad from the bottom of the mop and throw it in the wash. (The steam mops come with two washable microfiber pads.)
Because this product makes my life easier and my home cleaner and healthier (and it costs less than a hundred bucks!), I give the Bissell steam mop five out of five stars.
