Sylvane Participates in the 2010 Atlanta Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Team Sylvane Participants at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure On May 8, Sylvane employees and friends participated in the 2010 Atlanta Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. The annual 5K run/walk is a breast cancer awareness and fundraising event sponsored by the Greater Atlanta Chapter of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This year marked the 20th anniversary of the event and attracted more participants than ever before—more than 17,000!

In addition to the 5K run/walk, there was also 1 Mile Family Walk, an expo area for vendors, and a breakfast for breast cancer survivors. To find out the results of the race, check the Atlanta Race for the Cure website.

This year, the Susan G. Komen Atlanta Chapter set a fundraising goal of $2 million, and at $1,513,064.66, this goal is almost a reality! Thanks to generous donations, Sylvane has contributed $1,845.
