I was lucky enough to experience “Dyson at the Fox”, the company’s most interactive training yet. A few of us from Sylvane had the privilege to test drive several of their new and existing products. I learned a lot of cool stuff and found my new favorite product! Check out my photos from the training and see which products I was most impressed with below.

Is summer really almost over? If my morning commute was any indication, the answer is definitely yes. While the end of summer really only affects my commute and time spent at the pool, there are parents across the country sending kids off to college for the first time.
Described as “the best 4 years of your life,” college living situations (particularly old, dirty dorms) are generally less than ideal. I was in for quite a shock when I first walked into my dorm room–it was dusty, hot, and a far cry from the house I grew up in…and for better or worse, my college apartments never got much better.
So whether your child is off to college for the first time or heading back after summer, they’re probably entering a less-than-desirable living situation. Here are some must-have products to improve their air quality and keep them comfortable for the school year ahead.
The Eva-Dry E-100 is a unique disposable product that removes moisture and odors for up to 60 days. Its carbon and micro-absorbing crystals absorb moisture, musty odors, and allergens from closets, storage bins, and other small areas. They’re ideal for college students who don’t have easy access to laundry facilities and are living in small dorm rooms with poor air quality.
Dyson recently announced a voluntary recall on their popular AM04 and AM05 heater fans. The recall announcement came after 4 products created “contained” fires, reportedly started by internal burn-outs in the heating element.
For more information or to register your Dyson AM04 or AM05 for the recall, visit the Dyson Recall Site.
An innovator in home appliances, Dyson first introduced their fans in 2009 and released the heater version in 2011. These unique fans and heater fans use air multiplier technology instead of traditional fan blades. Dyson’s standard fans (without heat) aren’t affected by the recall since they don’t include the heating element.
Dyson suggests all owners of AM04 and AM05 models visit their recall site to get the ball rolling and receive directions on how to proceed. They’re releasing new information soon, so check back here or visit their recall site for more information. You can also contact Dyson’s helpline at 1-866-297-5303.
What’s on the inside matters most–that’s what I’ve always heard. Not that you would know it by looking at Dyson vacuums, which look more like gadgets than vacuum cleaners.
But when it came to creating the DC65 vacuums, an update to their popular DC41 line, Dyson focused on what’s inside their vacuums. So even though they look like past models, they’re even better than ever. Want more good news? We’re offering 20% off all Dyson models during our vacuum sale (using discount code DYSON20)—including the new DC65 models.
Let’s compare their 3 new models and check out what improvements have been made. More information on our vacuum sale can also be found below, which includes 10% off various other vacuum cleaner brands.
