Vornado Humidifier Reviews

vornado humidifierVornado humidifiers not only make your environment healthier and more comfortable, but they also help to lower your heating bill (moreso than other humidifiers).

If you’ve used a Vornado fan or heater, then you’re familiar with the vornado fan technology; that’s the secret behind the efficiency of these humidifiers. Vornado humidifiers even out a room’s temperature by recovering and re-circulating lost heat from the ceiling. Once moisture is added to the dry, winter air, the air feels warmer and holds onto heat better.

Humidifiers promote healthy skin and hair, and they’re also popular among those with allergies and sinusitis because they moisten and soothe dry nasal membranes.

Another unique feature of Vornado humidifiers is their spill-proof, leak-free water bottles that are easy to refill. For further convenience, a digital humidistat allows you to set and maintain precise humidity levels.

(We recommend that you maintain indoor humidity levels between 40 and 50 percent; higher humidity levels will encourage the growth of mold and dust mites.)

vornado ultrasonic humidifierThe Vornado Ultrasonic Humidifier covers rooms up to 1,250 square feet. It’s nearly silent in operation; a metal diaphragm vibrates at ultrasonic frequencies to create a cool or warm mist that silently enters the air. A mineral cartridge absorbs minerals from the water so that they don’t end up in the air.

vornado evaporative humidifiersThe Vornado Evaporative Humidifier covers rooms up to 1,000 square feet. It combines the latest evaporative technology with Vornado fan technology to evenly humidify an entire room. This whole room humidifier is a bit louder than the ultrasonic model, but it also has a slightly large water capacity – 2 gallons vs. 1.5 gallons – which means that you won’t have to refill the bottle as often.

In both models, indicators let you know when it’s time to change the filters. Both models also come with impressive five-year warranties. Because of their ease of use and ability to circulate moist air quickly and evenly, I give these new Vornado humidifiers five out of five stars. Order yours today before we sell out!

Overall, I’m pleased with the humidifier. However — two problems. First, due to the color of the water reservoir, it’s difficult to determine when it needs to be refilled. This means that you must check it every 12 hours or so. Also, the easy-to-remove cap for the water reserevoir is not so easy to remove. On my other humidifer, my grandsons (ages 10 and 8) could easily remove it, but they can’t on this one.

    Otherwise, I am well-satified.

  2. Patrick Zeka Says:

I did extensive research before purchasing a Vornado Humidifier. I spent $100 and I am disappointed. The tank is odd-shaped and difficult to hold while filling. It’s difficult to carry from room to room. The bright blue lights keep us up at night. And, similar to the prior post, you can’t tell the water level.

  3. Mary Segraves Says:

There are two problems with this humidifier. First of all, I was surprised at the amount of white dust that was created — significantly more than my previous Bionaire unit. Secondly, I agree with the previous reviewer on the awkward shape of the tank, but I had the same problem with the Bionaire model.

  4. Iretta Bell Says:

I am concerned about the small amount of water that is used by our Vernado. I feel that it is being more efficient in humidifing the air therefore not needing to use so much water, my husband feels otherwise.
