The Blueair 270E Air Purifier is your solution to cleaner air. If you are living with an aggravating allergy, asthma, or respiratory condition or if you simply want to create cleaner, more breathable indoor air, the Blueair 270E is for you. With value-adding features such as multi-stage filtration, digital controls, high CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate), quiet operation, a filter change indicator, simple maintenance, and Energy Star-qualified operation, the Blueair 270E delivers top-notch results at an economical price.

Multi-Stage Filtration

Like other Blueair models, the 270E unit filters the air using the company's patented HEPASilent technology and 3-stage air filtration. On its lowest speed, the 270E traps 99.97% of particles sized at 0.1 micron using a combination of mechanical and electrostatic processes. Each unit can be equipped with a standard particle filter or a specialized SmokeStop filter.

• Particle Filter – This particle filter is made of polypropylene and a small amount of activated carbon. Best for removing allergens, the filter is capable of collecting dust, pollen, bacteria, pet dander, mold spores, and other airborne particles that can easily trigger symptoms. The filter's activated carbon component is effective in removing some odor and gas traces.
• SmokeStop Filter – This is a polypropylene particle filter that is enhanced with under a pound of activated carbon. Best for use in spaces where odors and gaseous pollutants are present, this filter removes cigarette smoke, cigar smoke, and other volatile organic compounds – in addition to allergen particles.

To help maximize filtration effectiveness, the 270E's internal ionizer exerts a negative charge over incoming particles, which helps them become more readily captured in the filter. In addition, the 270E features an energy-saving auto speed, which uses electronic sensors to automatically adjust the air cleaner's operating speed – and power output – based on the amount of particles detected by the each sensor. To maintain the unit's optimal air-cleaning performance, remember to replace the filter every 6 months. A digital filter replacement indicator will remind you when it's time.

Quieter Operation

Specialized materials, such as noise-muffling galvanized steel, and precision Swedish engineering help this Blueair air purifier clean your indoor air without the noise associated with less-advanced units. On its lowest setting, the 270E model emits less sound than a desktop computer (29 decibels). Helping it to achieve exceptionally quiet operation is its HEPASilent filter system. Because the filter traps particles using both mechanical and electrostatic means, room air flows more freely throughout the unit. Since air passes more easily through the lightweight filter, the unit's internal fan does not have to work as hard or as loud to generate air movement.

Energy Efficient and Earth-Friendly

Energy Star-rated, the Blueair 270E uses significantly less power than other units, which means you can run the system round-the-clock without seeing a jump in your electricity consumption. In addition, the 270E emits zero ozone and is constructed of environmentally friendly parts and materials to help protect the planet as you protect yourself with cleaner air. The Particle and SmokeStop filters are made of non-toxic polypropylene, which ultimately breaks down into water and carbon dioxide when burned. These filters also contain no triclosan or other harmful chemical additives. The air purifier's galvanized steel housing is powder-coated for endurance and protection, without introducing the possibility of chemical outgassing. Lastly – while they are built for years of effective use – all Blueair air purifiers, including the 270E, are designed to be disassembled and the components sorted and recycled.
