The Premier DDR5009REE is among the latest product offerings in the popular Danby line of dehumidifiers. This 50-pint dehumidifier is perfect for medium sized basements and will provide solid and worry-free operation. Features such as water overflow protection and auto-restart are perfect for out-of-sight basement applications. Additionally, these units can properly function down to temps as low as 41 degrees F.

Eco-Friendly
The DDR5009REE is an environmentally friendly unit. This unit uses non-ozone depleting R-410A refrigerant, which is both eco-friendly and energy efficient. In fact, this dehumidifier is Energy Star rated -- translating to less energy consumption and lower energy bills.

Water Overflow Control
When the 14.2-pint internal water collection tank is full, the "Tank Full" indicator light will illuminate, and the unit will turn off automatically. Normal operation cannot resume until the water tank is emptied manually.

Continuous Gravity Drainage
The dehumidifier is equipped with a continuous drainage port that supports automatic gravity drainage. To activate, attach supplied drain hose to the port and position the hose in a downhill formation so that water can drain out using the force of gravity. The unit can also be manually drained by emptying the water collection tank.

So good my neighbor bought mine

I had the unit 3 days when my neighbors basement backed up. He was using an old dehumidifier and it wasn't getting the job done. I offered this new unit to them to help out. In 2 days his basement was down to 40% humidity after starting at 65%. He said the carpet is dry and that the basement is warm. He asked how much I paid for it and after I told him he promptly handed me $250 for it! And yes, I have already orderd a new one - again.
