The Premier DDR7009REE is among the latest product offerings in the popular Danby line of dehumidifiers. This 70-pint dehumidifier is perfect for medium sized basements and will provide solid and worry-free operation. Features such as water overflow protection and auto-restart are perfect for out-of-sight basement applications. Additionally, these units can properly function down to temps as low as 41 degrees F.

Eco-Friendly
The DDR7009REE is an environmentally friendly unit. This unit uses non-ozone depleting R-410A refrigerant, which is both eco-friendly and energy efficient. In fact, this dehumidifier is Energy Star rated -- translating to less energy consumption and lower energy bills.
Continuous Gravity Drainage
The dehumidifier is equipped with a continuous drainage port that supports automatic gravity drainage. To activate, attach supplied drain hose to the port and position the hose in a downhill formation so that water can drain out using the force of gravity. The unit can also be manually drained by emptying the water collection tank.
Water Overflow Control
When the 14.2-pint internal water collection tank is full, the "Tank Full" indicator light will illuminate, and the unit will turn off automatically. Normal operation cannot resume until the water tank is emptied manually.

This Danby dehumidifier has done a great job for us in our basement. We utilized the drain hose so we do not need to worry about emptying it. We ran the unit continuously for the first week and since then, have used the hour setting when we need it. There is one option that would make this unit even better and that is the ability to set it to cycle on and off at intervals, i.e. on for four hours, off for four hours, then back on. My wife adds a hearty amen to that. Otherwise we are pleased with the unit
