Multiple Drainage Methods

The Danby DDR7009REE Dehumidifier features two drainage options for collected moisture. The first option allows you to manually drain the system by emptying the water collection bucket on the front of the dehumidifier. As a second method, you can gravity drain the moisture and deposit it into a nearby drain using the included drain hose and the drain port on the back of the system. As a third option, you can set up the Danby DDR7009REE to pump collected moisture to another location or even upward through a window by using the condensate pump accessory (sold separately).

Automatic Humidity Adjustment

Maintaining your ideal humidity level is easier than ever with this Danby 70-Pint Dehumidifier. To set the humidity, simply toggle the up/down arrow buttons on the system's electronic control panel to your desired percentage. The dehumidifier allows you to adjust humidity from 30% to 90% in 5% increments. Once the humidity level is defined, the unit's compressor cycles on and off to maintain the setting automatically. The control panel always displays the ambient humidity level and temperature to help you stay on top of operation. Additionally, you can program operation using the 24-hour timer.

Environmentally Friendly Operation

Along with maintaining a comfortable humidity level in your indoor environment, this Danby dehumidifier helps protect the outdoor environment. As an updated feature, the DDR7009REE dehumidifier uses R-410A refrigerant, an efficient and eco-friendly refrigerant that will not contribute to ozone depletion. The Danby Premiere DDR7009REE Dehumidifier is also Energy Star-rated. This means the system uses 10 to 20% less energy than conventional non-Energy Star models to remove the same amount of moisture. Energy Star dehumidifiers also have more efficient coils, compressors, and fans—all of which contribute to long-term energy- and cost-savings. Other features such as automatic sensing humidity control, a 24-hour programmable timer, and dual fan speeds help the system conserve energy further while still providing powerful dehumidification.

• Low Temperature Operation – For ultra reliability, this Danby dehumidifier operates in temperatures as low as 41 degrees.


• Auto Defrost System – In the event that ice builds up on the evaporator coils (usually in temperatures below 64 degrees F), the automatic defrost system begins defrosting the coils in order to resume unit operation.


• Auto Restart On Power Failure – In the event of a power failure, the dehumidifier will resume operation automatically and revert to factory default settings of 60% humidity on low.


• Electronic Controls – Soft-touch electronic controls are intuitive and easy to use.
