Dehumidifying Direct-Drain Option
The Silhouette offers a direct-drain option and comes with a gravity drain hose and coupler. Set up is simple and requires only hand-tightening of the coupler, and if you no longer need or want this option you simply re-install the drain cap.

The gravity drain is intended for a floor drain only. The innovative design of the direct-drain feature ensures that there is no messy cleanup:

• If the drain hose coupler becomes disconnected, the safety valve will close so that water will no longer drain out of the unit and will instead begin to collect in the internal bucket.
• The direct-drain outlet is equipped with a safety shut-off valve to minimize water leaks when the drain cap is removed.
• Easily connect and reconnect the drain hose as needed. So, if you have to move the unit from an area without a floor drain, simply remove the drain hose and re-install the cap.

Condensation Pump Option
If you do not have a floor drain but would still like to use the direct-drain option (eliminating the need to empty buckets), a condensation pump kit is available. Furthermore, this unit is easily adaptable for use with a condensate pump, and this will give you the option of running the drain hose up and out a window or around a doorway or through a drill hole to your yard or garden. These pumps are energy efficient as well and work with a flow switch that allows the pump only to run when needed.

Air Purifying
The air purifier in the unit will help eliminate particles from your indoor air such as pollen, dust, and pet dander. The air purifier mode can be used in conjunction with the humidifier and dehumidifier mode.
