*Comparison chart maximum room size is an estimate of the theoretical maximum. Actual BTU needed to cool room will vary depending on environmental conditions in room to be conditioned. Assumes average ceiling height of 8 1/2' feet.

Installation Note: All portable air conditioners have an exhaust hose which must be vented out of the space that you are trying to cool. The DeLonghi line of units come with a window bracket for installation in traditional double hung windows and sliding windows. Many people also choose to vent through walls, into drop ceilings, into hallways, etc. Please call if you have questions about a particular installation.

PAC400 model special installation note: this particular model is a split two-piece unit. The smaller child piece must be placed outside of the room being cooled. The two sections of the air conditioner are connected by a 13 foot flexible cable. This cable cannot be disconnected from either side / either unit. This will limit the types of installation that will be possible - as the cable cannot be threaded through a whole in the wall, through a window bracket, etc. In addition, the smaller external piece can have condensate collect on it - so this smaller piece will need to be placed either outside or in a location where condensate drip will be acceptable.
