The DeLonghi DD45 Dehumidifier is a powerful dehumidifier that is great for removing up to 45 pints of excess moisture from basements, dens, offices, bedrooms, and other medium- to large-sized spaces. This dehumidifier comes equipped with multiple features, such as a 24-hour programmable timer, advanced air filtration, and eco-friendly R-410A refrigerant, to make operation energy efficient and economical.
This compact dehumidifier operates quietly in either the dehumidification mode or fan-only mode. In addition, the DeLonghi DD45 has a digital humidistat, tank control system, manual or continuous drainage options, and durable caster wheels.
Excess moisture promotes mold and mildew growth and can cause damage to your home’s structure, hardwood floors, and other valued possessions. The DeLonghi DD45 dehumidifier removes up to 45 pints of moisture each day, creating a comfortable, dry environment. When air is drawn into the dehumidifier, moisture is not only removed, a permanent, washable air filter also traps dust particles and other airborne contaminants to clean the air and extend the life of your dehumidifier.
Two powerful fan speeds distribute the clean dehumidified air throughout your environment. In addition, the DeLonghi DD45 has a fan-only function, which provides cooling air circulation when dehumidification is not necessary.
This portable dehumidifier also operates effectively in temperatures as low as 41 degrees Fahrenheit.
Depending on your dehumidification needs, this DeLonghi 45-pint dehumidifier has two simple, effective drainage options. The removable water tank holds 5.62 gallons of unwanted moisture and includes a visible water level so that you can judge when the water tank needs to be emptied. If gravity drainage is an option, this dehumidifier also comes with a 3-foot drainage hose for continuous drainage capability.
To protect your DeLonghi system from accidental water overflow due to a full tank, an improperly positioned tank, or an obstruction in the drainage hose, the DeLonghi DD45 dehumidifier comes with a tank control system, which automatically sounds an alarm and turns the dehumidifier off if any of these events occur.
A large LCD display and soft-touch controls allow you to program the DeLonghi DD45 to your perfect settings using an adjustable humidistat, three fan settings, and a 24-hour programmable timer. The convenient 24-hour programmable timer makes it possible to configure this dehumidifier to turn off or on at a specified time. For example, if you require dehumidification just during sleep hours, the DeLonghi DD45 45 pint dehumidifier can be set turn on before bedtime and turn off in the morning.
The DeLonghi DD45 dehumidifier boasts an Energy Star rating, which means that this product reduces energy consumption and saves you on valuable energy dollars — without sacrificing any design elements or functionality. This dehumidifier also uses environmentally-friendly R-410A refrigerant, which is good for the environment because it does not deplete vital ozone. Plus, it improves the unit’s performance.
The design of the DeLonghi DD45 makes this dehumidifier a cinch to relocate anywhere that you need clean, dry air. Moving this dehumidifier is exceptionally simple thanks to easy-roll caster wheels and convenient handles. Unlike traditional dehumidifiers that need a clearance area around the entire unit, the DeLonghi DD45 is designed to be positioned directly against a wall, which saves valuable floor space.
Once your dehumidifier has been perfectly positioned, simply plug it into any standard 115-volt wall outlet, turn it on, and begin improving your indoor air quality.

I have two old dehumidifiers for my basement and bought this one because of the low temperature operation feature - one of my old ones was freezing over at 65°F. I have had this new unit for a month now and like it. The main drawback I found that it has compared to the old units is that it does not shut off when it reaches the desired humidity setting; it shuts off the condensor but continues to run the fan. So, I just shut it off at night and run it during the day. I do not use the timer option because it has to be reset every time anyway.
I liked that it came with a clear plastic 3-foot drain hose. My old unit has a cut off garden hose on it, which occasionally gets plugged. You can easily see through the clear plastic one, so that should not be a problem. It would have been better if the hose was longer, though, but you can always attach a garden hose to it anyway if that is a concern.
It has a nice digital readout that shows the current humidity and target setting, and you can scroll through the readout to get the temperature in both °F and °C.

Comments about DeLonghi DD45 Dehumidifier:
This dehumidifier has changed the entire state of our 3 story town home. After a rainy summer, the first floor, built into the foundation, was very damp. We even had a little water damage, which we had fixed. This unit has been amazing. No more musty smell and everything is bone dry. It even cleared up a musty smell in an upstairs bedroom. Works great, is quiet, and totally programmable. Price point was less than home depot. Shipping was free and it arrived within 24 hours from when I ordered. Couldn't have been happier!

Comments about DeLonghi DD45 Dehumidifier:
the Delonghi dd45 units performed faultlessly 24 hrs a day for many days after the storm, the humidity level control is super, our home is once again liveable with no wet moldy odors
Comments about DeLonghi DD45 Dehumidifier:
Great little machine! Looks nice and is easy to empty when full w/ the front container removal. A little noisier than expected but not that bad at all. If needed I would purchase another.

Comments about DeLonghi DD45 Dehumidifier:
I have a 20+ years Fridgidaire unit that's whisper quiet. I loaned the Fridgidaire unit and the bucket got lost. I read the review on the Fridgidaire 50-Pint Dehumidifier and this unit. I bought this because of the pump feature. What a mistake, I don't know if the new Fridgidaire unit is any better, but DeLonghi is loud. I should have looked for the replacement bucket for the old Fridgidaire. I may just do that.... I regret my decision.
Comments about DeLonghi DD45 Dehumidifier:
I've had the dehumidifier for 1 month now and it is working well. We can definitely feel the difference in our basement. I like how the dehumidifier came with a hose plug that screws in or out, that way you can change how the unit drains. Of small note, the dehumidifier only has TWO speeds, not the 3 speeds the product description details. If I could change one thing about the product it would be that it would totally shut off when the desired humidity level is reached, and then cycle back on as needed. The fan on this unit runs continuously whether it is dehumidifying or not. Maybe this is better for the motor, but might not be better for my electricity bill.
Comments about DeLonghi DD45 Dehumidifier:
I really like my DeLonghi dehumidifier. I like the read out options, the two fan speeds, which my two Whirlpool dehumidifiers do not have. It does an excellent job for me.
