Eliminate excess moisture and prevent harmful mold and mildew growth in drafty basements, bedrooms, dens, and other areas of your home using the DeLonghi DD50P Dehumidifier. This compact dehumidifier effectively removes up to 50 pints of moisture using one of three drainage options. These options include a water tank, gravity drainage, and a patented condensate pump.
The DeLonghi DD50P Energy Star dehumidifier boasts energy-efficient operation and helps you save valuable energy dollars. This 50-pint dehumidifier also features an electronic control panel with an easy-to-read LCD display, caster wheels, convenient carrying handles, a washable air filter, tank overflow protection, eco-friendly R-410A refrigerant, and anti-frost protection.
User-Friendly Control Panel Design
The DeLonghi DD50P 50-pint dehumidifier features a large LCD display and soft-touch controls so that you can easily program it to your ideal settings. The easy-to-read LCD screen displays your room's relative humidity, as well as the programmed settings. The dehumidifier's soft-touch controls allow you to toggle between dehumidifying and fan-only mode, adjust the built-in humidistat, choose a fan speed, and set the dehumidifier's 24-hour timer. The DeLonghi DD50P 50-pint dehumidifier with pump also includes a programmable timer that gives you the freedom to set your desired length of operation. After this period of time, this basement dehumidifier will turn off automatically, which reduces energy consumption.
Three Distinct Drainage Options
Collected moisture can be drained from the DeLonghi DD50P dehumidifier in three ways. The water collection tank can be manually emptied when it has reached capacity. Water can be gravity-drained through a 3-foot drainage hose included with this dehumidifier. Additionally, you can connect the included 16-foot pump hose to the dehumidifier's patented condensate pump system for continuous water removal with roughly 16 feet of vertical lift.
To protect your dehumidifier from damage caused by potential water overflows and to maintain optimum performance, the DeLonghi DD50P includes a convenient water level window and a tank control system with an alarm. The water level window allows you to easily tell how much water has been collected and judge when the collection tank needs to be emptied.
In the event of accidental water overflow due to a full tank, an improperly positioned tank, or an obstruction in the drainage hose, the DeLonghi 50 pint dehumidifier comes with a tank control system. This system automatically sounds an alarm and turns the dehumidifier off if any of these events occur.

Ordered this particular product based on price and the pump feature. The pump feature allows the drain hose to be at a higher level than the dehumidifier.
The product arrived well packed and in a timely fashion. It has only been a couple of weeks, but the dehumidifier is operating as expected. Of course I expect over 5 years of service from the unit, and that expectation will only be answered years from now.

We own this DeLonghi and were critical at first...until we bought the Winix 50 as well.
The DeLonghi may be rather loud in a living room, especially if you want to watch TV, but the sound is a continuous whoosh. Compared to the Winix which has a skull-penetrating buzz which you can not ever ever ignore, the DeLonghi is a dream.
However we needed an additional dehumidifier for our cottage in our wet west coast climate so we needed the features that the DeLonghi doesn't have: it should shut off completely when the humidity is reached, and start up again as needed. Also extremely important for country living if there is an electricity outage, it should start up again like the Winix does.
So the DeLonghi is good if you are there to constantly shut it's fan off when the desired humidity is reached - otherwise the loud fan keeps running forever. Why this feature is missing is a mystery.

Works very well using pump and drain hose. Could be better if humidistat would turn it off once proper humidity level is reached. Now, it just keeps on running unless you set its timer to turn it off.

The only item of concern I have is that the product didn't instantly turn back on after a power outage. As the product exists in a crawlspace with inconvenient access, it is somewhat difficult for me to turn it back on after power recovery. Otherwise, a great product

Works great straight out of the box. Easy set up and super fast shipping. Super efficient. Within the first hour I was breathing easier. Can be somewhat "noisey", but would definetly recommend it.

Out of the box the pump did not work. After taking the dehumidifier to an authorized repair center, it now works great, pumping the water as it collects.
The only complaint is the fan operates continuously whether or not the machine is actively dehumidifying.

I was hoping for automatic operation but this model doesn't seem to have that feature. I thought I saw it in the ad, but ...... The time to get was excellent. However, UPS left it on the front porch. I am elderly and had to get it to the basement myself. Perhaps you can ask UPS to do a better job.
