Radiant - Oil-Filled Radiator Heaters:
Oil-filled units are heavy but portable and very safe to use. Oftentimes used in children's rooms. Can take a while before the oil heats up, however once heated the oil stays warm for a long period of time. This type of heater provides a steady heat source for an entire room and is the most energy-efficient option.

Convection - Ceramic & Fan:
Heats quickly with good dispersion and are the most effective option for larger areas. Loses heat immediately when shut-off. Provide warmth by blowing or pulling air over a heated surface. Ceramic heaters are relatively new in the convection segment. They have aluminum baffles and ceramic plates. Electrical current is passed through the ceramic which causes it to heat up. This heat is then passed into the aluminum and air is driven by a fan over the heated aluminum and into your room. These tend to more efficient than other convection heaters and their casing tends to stay cool for improved safety.
