These heaters are designed to stay on 24 hour a day. Set the temperature and leave it alone. They do not have fans, but will slowly heat up a small bedroom, bathroom, etc very well. I have 5 of them, and the older ones are better. A neighbor uses one in his hen house and one in a large shed that doubles as a doghouse. Don't get me started on what I think about leaving dogs outside, but at least the poor dogs are warm.
Not suitable for large rooms unless you have several, one in each corner.

I bought one for my tiny uninsulated greenhouse last year to keep my plants from freezing, and it worked surprisingly well! I did bring in the most tender plants. This year I bought another one for by my desk and it really stops the chill of the adjacent french door nicely. I also got one for my son who has an apartment with energy sucking wall heaters (coil and fan type). It keeps his bedroom quietly warm. This heater is a nice compact size, quiet, and safe to leave on for long periods of time. It won't heat your house or garage, but is perfect for evening out those cold spots all houses seem to have.

I live in an old '50's condo that has in-wall electric fan units - grew tired of the noise, uneven heat and electrical expense of the units and bought two of these - one for living area and the other for bedrooms. They provide a wonderful, even and quiet heat for very little cost.

Product arrived in good time. Very easy to use. Works really well. My husband and I use it for our bedroom since we have 150 year old 6 foot windows. It heats the space really well. I would recommend this product and website.

This heater works great for our small bathroom (~50 sq ft). The timer is a nice feature and its compact size is perfect.

Heats ups quickly, gives off plenty of heat, stays hot!! Beautiful! Use this in our dental lab which never has enough heat. This certainly does the job well. First winter we were completely comfortable on the coldest days. I highly recommend this heater.

I had this same model oil heater 5 years ago. Delonghi company revamped this model and it has only 8 heating panels, old model had 10. Does not produce as much heat. I bought 3 of them and threw away the boxes therefore can not return them. I am continuing to use my old ones and will keep the new ones as my back up heat source. No fault of sylvane, delonghi is the one to blame. 5 years ago the cost was the same as the lesser unit. The 2 stars are for the product and not sylvane. Their service was good. Receive my items in reasonable time and in excellent condition.

I had a previous model of this heater and used for 5 years then it was time to replace my heaters, even though the heaters were still working. I was very disappointed to see these heaters (same model) have only 8 heating panels where the original unit had 10. This unit is also 2" shorter. It does not heat as well as the same model I purchased in 2006. No problem with the function of the heaters however due to the smaller size, it does not heat as well as the original model.
