Interestingly Dimplex is very obscure in SAYING what materials the fireplace stove is made of. It APPEARS to be laminated wood or particle board, including the door and legs. The cabinet is solid, but the legs are very weak. Mine arrived with a broken leg. The size of the stove is really nice.
The logs are great. They are made of a nice ceramic-type material and are nicely handpainted. Love the way they glow and pulsate. Not only do the logs pulsate, but so do the embers. Adds a very nice cozy ambience to a room.
The cabinet comes in a high gloss or matte finish. I ordered the high gloss, but will be exchanging it for the matte because it just looks more like an authentic stove.
