The Dimplex Dusk can be operated year round with the flame only feature or can provide supplemental heat. The DWF1215B has an included pedestal which allows for free standing installation. Much thicker than I had imagined, so it doesn't look good from the side. Very attractive from the front.

I have a fairly large bedroom, and it struggles to heat the whole thing, so I may need a supplemental heater if it gets very cold out.

After turning it on, a loud vibrations kicks on and off randomly until the unit is completely warmed up, which takes a long time. Maybe its just the one I got, but it's very annoying when I'm trying to sleep.

Overall it's okay. Looks nice from the front and puts out decent, but not great, heat.
