Product Overview

This unit is a versatile drying unit designed to eliminate humidity issues in difficult conditions. Storerooms, warehouses, switching stations, basements, locker rooms, pumping stations, oil rigs and marine ships have all found this rugged unit to be the solution. This unit can be easily moved from location-to-location or can be permanently installed and ducted to manage a variety of situations.

The "Hot Gas" defrosting feature will allow this unit to function in temperatures down to 33F without frost build-up. In addition, this will efficiently remove more than 97 pints of water per day under AHAM conditions (80ºF, 60%RH), and will surpass 21 gallons per day under extreme conditions.

What is the ideal humidity level this unit should maintain?

We recommend you maintain a humidity level of between 45 and 50 percent. Too much humidity creates an ideal environment for mold, dust mites, bacteria, and pests to thrive. Too little humidity can be just as damaging by causing health issues such as an increase in colds and the flu and irritated skin and respiratory passages. Should a dehumidifier be setup as close to floor level as possible or will they work the same if raised a few feet up off the ground?

Dehumidifiers can be either situated on a floor level or raised without affecting operation. When raised a few feet, the dehumidifier will benefit from improved gravity drainage.
