The EP9-500 is an evaporative cool mist humidifier that boasts a 9-gallon output for rooms up to 2,000 square feet. The rich nutmeg finish and decorative natural stone tile inset create a stylish pedestal for your plant, vase, or figurine. You can even customize the look of this pedestal by replacing the decorative stone tile with any standard 12x12-inch tile to fit your room's decor. The front pour-in design simplifies filling the humidifier's 3.5 gallon reservoir. The Essick Air EP9500 also features an evaporative wick that retains minerals and delivers clean, natural moisture into the air.

How many hours will this unit run before needing a refill?

Running time depends on the ambient humidity level in your home, your humidity setting, and your selected speed. This humidifier includes a digital humidistat that directs the humidifier to run only when your humidity level falls below your humidity setting. Most customers report that when it's set to maintain average humidity of around 50% at a medium to high fan speed, it will need to be refilled every 24 hours.

What does CF mean on the gauge where the humidity is displayed?

"CF" means Check Filter. This appears after 720 hours of operation. It's recommended that you check the condition of the filter and replace if necessary to keep your humidifier running optimally.
