Take control of your indoor air with the Essick Air RN35W Window Evaporative Cooler with remote. This window mount evaporative swamp cooler uses the natural process of water evaporation to cool areas sized between 600 and 800 square feet. Most effective in arid, dry climates, the RN35W absorbs heat from the hot air and lowers the temperature in your space by up to 30 degrees.
The Essick Air RN35W Window Evaporative Swamp Cooler process 3,300 cubic feet of air per minute using 75% less electrical energy than traditional air conditioning systems. With this energy-efficient air cooler, you can sit back and enjoy a refreshing breeze at the touch of a button while saving money on electricity bills and reducing your cooling costs. Unlike refrigerant air conditioners, which have high power consumption and use toxic chemicals to cool your home, evaporative coolers use natural resources such as water and air to cool your home.
This fully assembled evaporative air cooler comes with an installation kit and window filler panels for easy setup. A convenient remote control allows you to operate the evaporative cooler from up to 20 feet away. The Essick Air RN35W features a convertible grille so you can mount the unit in a vertical or horizontal window.

While traditional air conditioning systems recirculate the same stale air, the Essick Air RN35W constantly pushes heat out and dispenses maximum fresh, cool air throughout your space every two to four minutes. In addition, the moist pads act as air filters, driving out dust, pollen, smoke, and odors, providing nonstop relief to allergy-sufferers. In the interior of the swamp cooler, a water pump connects to a delivery tube that constantly moistens the evaporative cooling pads. This is done so that the pads remain damp to continue the evaporative cooling process.
By providing a continual supply of fresh air throughout your home, the Essick Air RN35W Window Evaporative Swamp Cooler also lowers the effective temperature. This consistent flow of cool air causes a cooling effect by which the constant cool breeze feels 4 to 6 degrees lower than the actual temperature.
Essick Air swamp coolers use a similar method to the natural cooling effect that occurs when you step out of a swimming pool on a hot day. In hot temperatures water evaporates from your body and takes the heat with it, leaving you with a cool, refreshing feeling. In a similar manner, water evaporates from damp pads inside the evaporative cooler and takes heat from the hot air in your space with it.
Every minute, a powerful blower pulls 3,300 cubic feet of air into the Essick Air RN35W swamp cooler through the side vents. The hot, dry air is then brought into contact with two water-saturated pads made from Aspen trees. When the moving air passes through the moist pads, evaporation occurs as the heat from the hot air causes the water molecules to transform into a gas. As the water evaporates from the pads, the gas molecules and heat switch from the higher air temperature to a lower water temperature. The actual temperature instantly drops up to 30 degrees and fresh, cool air is released back into your space through the front air grille.
In dry, arid climates, evaporative cooling is a more efficient and less expensive solution for cooling your indoor air. When compared to traditional air conditioners, evaporative coolers cost less to operate and install.
Operation Costs
Evaporative coolers not only have a significantly lower purchase price than traditional air conditioning systems, they also help you save on electricity bills. Because this energy-efficient window air cooler uses mainly water and air to cool your home, it consumes less power. Operating expenses are typically 75% less than that of refrigerant air conditioners. Essick swamp coolers are powered by plugs and use 115 volts of electricity.
Installation Costs
Swamp coolers also usually cost 50% to 80% less to install than central air conditioners. The Essick Air RN35W Window Evaporative Cooler does not require the wiring and venting associated with installing a central air conditioning unit. A handy installation kit makes setup a breeze. Just mount the swamp cooler in your window using the window filler panels, leveling legs, and window retainers.
