Comments about Friedrich P09B Portable Air Conditioner:
Not good. Condenser keeps cycling on and off too quickly to actually do anything in my room. I'm going to get rid of this thing and re-install my ugly window unit which has kept the 13x25 room cool and sometimes cold for over 30 summers.
Comments about Friedrich P09B Portable Air Conditioner:
The Friedrich P09B-A portable air conditioner was easy to install, and runs great. I'm glad I bought from Sylvane instead of buying an portable air conditioner from Home Depot. Once I read about the portable air conditioners I really wanted to get a dual hose due to the efficiency compared to single hose. I have not seen any dual hose machines in stores. In the North-East we get a fair amount of humidity, I'm sure the tank would have to be emptied had I not run a drain line. We have had a lot of hot weather this summer. The AC has done a great job keeping my 275 square foot room comfortable.
Comments about Friedrich P09B Portable Air Conditioner:
Had a little difficulty caculating the area for my room its 12x11. Since I have a 55 inch LED tv, 7.1 Surround sound, PS3, computer and 2 other heat emitting sources. My room was a steady 86-88 degrees. The rep. stated this unit would only drop my room by 10 - 15 degrees however it actually got my room down to 67 degrees. ( I have a indoor thermostat on the opposite end of the room. ) The unit is quiet even when the compressor kicks in.
I was a little worried about the window expansion kit for the 2 hoses but it fit perfectly. The unit on this website states 8900 BTU however this unit is actually 9300 BTU as stated on the side of AC unit and on Friedrich website. The unit keeps the temperature in the room accurately. No more hot sleepless nights!
