I am a serious home French pastry chef. Five years ago I bought the then-current version of this stove. My main interest was the convection oven. Indeed, this oven is extremely good in even baking. There were many other features I liked, although I found the controls a bit confusing. For guests and first timers, the controls can be VERY confusing. I would still have given it 5 stars. I bought this new version for a different home. There is one change that I find so annoying that I downgraded this new model in my view to 4 stars. This is the temperature readout for the main oven. On most digital readouts, including the earlier version of this stove, you start by setting the target temperature. Then as the oven heats up, it shows the actual temp. This gives you an idea of how much longer you need to wait. If you are cooking something at a non-critical 350 degrees, you might just put it in at 325. Similarly, if you open the oven, say to turn a tray, you know exactly how much the temp has dropped. Not with this new version. You set the target temp, then wait for a long beep to tell you the oven has reached the target temp. There is no way to tell the current temp. While heating up, some lights flash in an incomprehensible sequence. Neither the manual nor Fridigaire customer support could explain what those lights mean. Even with a totally manual oven (like the small side oven here), you can get an idea of current temp by rotating the knob and listening for the thermostat click. Another downgrade was the minimum temp setting on the old oven was 100 degrees, a sometimes useful setting in baking. The minimum on this oven is 150. Finally, this range (with the large oven operating) is significantly noiser than the older version. Creaks and vibration are much more noticeable.

I was forced to buy another freezer when our old Kenmore went out after 14 yrs. We had a full freezer of beef. Where I live, there are not too many options for shopping so I purchased this freezer. I liked that it had the temp outside so I didn't have to mess with a manual dial and put in a thermometer to check the temp. My old freezer had the coils built into each shelf so no need for a fan. This freezer has a light that is very nice to have. After plugging in the new freezer, the fan roar'd really loud, but I figured it would settle down after cooling to the set temp and then would be quiet. It doesn't. It runs probably 80% of the time and now we have to shut the pantry room door to keep the house quiet. The freezer also builds a huge brick of ice on the top middle portion of the door. I have no idea why as the seal is in perfect shape. I will have to call service to come out and fix this as I have to keep wiping it down or it will build up enough the door probably won't shut. It keeps a very constant temp and is easy to get to your items on the shelves. Overall, I give this a 2.5-3.0 on the 5 scale. I'm sure they will fix the seal, but the fan is so loud, I can't overcome that for my score. Freezers should be quiet not loud like a dishwasher.

Well I outfitted my kitchen with Gallery Refer, DW, and Range 14 yrs ago and was disappointed that the stove control unit failed and could not be replaced. In order to match the remaining Gallery units I purchased this stove. That being said I do like the new range's fitments and features.

Comments about Frigidaire 5,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner - FRA054XT7:

I have owned this stove for only about a month, but I am happy with it so far. I had a large double oven stove like this when I was first married, and have wanted one like it ever since. The little oven is a little smaller than the older model, as I cannot get a 10" pie pan is this newer model, but it is great for small casseroles, while still having the big oven to bake in. The metal in the drawer and oven doors is not as sturdy as the older one, so I can't say it's amazing, but it has the features I want: besides the double ovens, the large cook top with space in the middle for a bowl or pot to transfer soup or fill jam jars, etc. It looks very nice even in my little 150 sq.ft. kitchen, and I will really enjoy not having to heat a giant oven in the summer when it's 110 degrees outside. As I said, thank you for making this stove.

I like how I can barely hear it when it's running. I like how the controls are hidden from the front. I don't like the way you select the settings for the wash cycles.
