Portable Air Conditioner for Garage / Workshops

It can be difficult to properly air condition a garage or workshop. These spaces are typically not well-insulated or well-sealed. Also, cool air created easily warms as people come and go through the garage doors and other external doors. For this reason, it is recommended that any garage air conditioning unit be “oversized” for the room size intended. Many applications require twice the amount of BTU one would normally need for a space.
If the space in question has a window – venting is easy using included window brackets. In this case – either a dual or single hose system will work. If the space does not have a window – you will either need to vent through a whole in the wall or out the main garage door. This will require special installation to work properly. In this case – a single hose system is best.
