Unparalleled Air Filtration
The air in your home or office can be filled with airborne pollutants. Occasionally, a simple air filtration system is not powerful enough to adequately clean your air. With the AC5000 air cleaner's multiple levels of air filtration, you can rest assured that your room is filled with the cleanest, freshest air. This comprehensive filtration system includes:
- Charcoal Pre-Filter: Initially captures large dust particles, lint, and pet hair and removes odors from smoking, cooking, and pets.
- True HEPA Filter: Captures 99.9% of airborne particles, such as dust mites, mold spores, pollens, pet dander, and other debris.
- UV-C Light Technology: Optional UV-C light technology is also used to further enhance the AC5000’s air filtration capability. UV-C light effectively penetrates and kills viruses, bacteria, and other germs. This light alters the genetic structure of the germs to prevent them from reproducing and, ultimately, destroys them.

Germguardian works as advertised. It's quiet when used on the 1st two speeds but is loud on max. The Ultraviolet light is a good thing as it kills bacteria, mold, and viruses. It also looks very cool with the blue light on the top of the unit. I purchased a replacement UV bulb so I am not out of business when it does burn out. Most reviews indicate the bulb lasts 6 months. The filters are not unreasonably priced. This replaces my Healthmate- mostly because the Healthmate Hepa costs $200 new and that is absurd. So far living room smells good- and I have a cat and a stinky old hound!

I purchased this unit earlier today and after 5 hours of use I took the filter out and you could see where dust was seeping in through the side of the filter and collecting on the housing. The UV-C light isn't strong enough to kill the airborne bacteria like the manufacturer claims. First thing in the morning the Germ Guardian AC5000 is going back

These units really work well. My office building flooded, and we could not get rid of the lingering smell. I purchased 2 units, and in no time the smell was gone. After a minor leak in another of our buildings, I was asked to purchase a third. It also performed as planned and we have had no issues. They are extremely quiet on low speed (it has 3), and even on high, you almost fail to notice. I would purchase again definitely.

This unit has been good since the day we started using it, about 3 weeks ago. The noise level is very low; it looks "cool" with the UV light around top rim; and air seems cleaner in our 3 person office. would recommend to anyone. No negative at this point
