Product Overview

As a new addition to Haier's Commercial Cool Series, this portable air conditioner combines a powerful cooling capability and user-friendly features with eco-friendly operation and a sleek new design. This 10,000-BTU unit comfortably cools a small- to mid-sized room with ease and includes separate dehumidifier and fan-only functions for more flexible operation. Additionally, this portable AC is packed with features to make day-to-day operation a snap.

Operating Modes

With the press of a button, the CPN10XC9 toggles between one of three modes: cooling, dehumidification, or fan-only. An additional fourth heating mode is also included in the CPN10XH9:

• Cooling - When operating in cooling mode, the unit exerts 10,000 BTUs of cooling power to create crisp, comfortable temperatures in spaces sized up to 300 sq. ft. This model is an excellent single-room supplement to a central air conditioner. Using it to cool one room – for example, a room you spend lots of time in – can help you save money on your whole-house cooling bill. This is because your central air conditioning system does not have to work as hard to cool the room.
• Dehumidify-Only - In dehumidifier mode, the unit extracts excess moisture from the air by condensing it onto a cold surface. This helps to regulate your room's humidity, a practice that can prevent mold and dust mites from flourishing in your space.
• Fan-Only – In fan-only mode, this Haier portable air conditioner circulates the air for a comfortable breeze. The unit includes three fan speeds: low, medium, and high.
• Heating (Optional Upgrade)– In heat mode, the unit warms an immediate area using 9,000 BTUs of heating power. Like cool mode, this mode can help you skim dollars off of your winter heating bill by offsetting the power of your furnace.

Automatic Evaporation

The Haier CPN10XC9 and CPN10XH9 are a self-evaporating portable ACs. This means the unit automatically evaporates collected condensation by way of its hot air exhaust – without any work required by you. This will free you from the headaches often caused by traditional portable ACs, which require you to empty water collection buckets multiple times throughout the day.

Electronic Controls, Programmable Timer

This unit features a breadth of user-friendly controls to help you stay on top of operation. Use the electronic controls to set your desired operating mode, temperature, and fan speed. You can also program on/off operation using the built-in 24-hour timer. For example, you might set the unit to turn off automatically when you leave the room for the day and then to power back on at the time you plan to return. This not only saves power, but ensures that you always come back to a cool environment. Features also include a full-function remote control to allow you to configure operating conditions from a comfortable distance.

Environmentally Friendly

This Haier portable air conditioner is kinder to the environment in more ways than one. First, the unit uses R-410A refrigerant, an environmentally friendly refrigerant that does not contribute to the depletion of the Earth's ozone layer (unlike the commonly used R-22). Next, this unit complies with the RoHS Directive, or the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive. This directive restricts the use of six hazardous and toxic substances – including lead and mercury – in the manufacture of electronic and electrical equipment. Lastly, the CPN10XC9/H9 carries an EER, or Energy Efficiency Ratio, of 8.23. An EER rating tells you how many BTUs a unit uses for each watt of power; the higher the EER rating, the more energy-efficient the unit. With an EER of 8.23, this Haier unit consumes minimal energy while providing maximum cooling power.
