Product Overview

The CPN12XC9 portable air conditioner is a new addition to Haier's redesigned Commercial Cool Series of portable ACs. Along with its user-friendly features, this model combines a 12,000-BTU cooling capability and eco-friendly operation with a sleek, modern design. The unit comfortably cools medium- to large-sized rooms with ease and includes separate dehumidifier and fan-only functions for more flexible cooling options.

Multiple Operating Modes

With the press of a button, the CPN12XC9 toggles between one of three modes. An additional fourth Heating mode is available in the CPN12XH9:

• Cooling – In cool mode, the unit exerts 12,000 BTUs of cooling power to create crisp and comfortable temperatures in spaces as large as 400 sq. ft. This Haier unit is an excellent single-room supplement to a central air conditioner. Using it to cool one room – for example, a room you spend lots of time in – can help you save money on your whole-house cooling bill. This is because your central air conditioning system does not have to work as hard to cool the room.
• Dehumidify-Only - In dehumidifier mode, the unit extracts excess moisture from the air by condensing it onto a cold surface. This helps to regulate your room's humidity, which can prevent mold and dust mites from taking over your space.
• Fan-Only – In fan-only mode, the unit circulates the air to create a comfortable indoor breeze. The unit includes three fan speeds: low, medium, and high.
• Heating (Optional Upgrade) – In heat mode, the unit warms an immediate area using 11,000 BTUs of heating power. Like cool mode, this mode can help you skim dollars off of your winter heating bill by offsetting the power of your furnace.

Automatic Evaporation

The Haier CPN12XC9 and CPN12XH9 are self-evaporating portable air conditioners. This means the unit automatically evaporates collected condensation by way of its hot air exhaust – without any work required by you. This will free you from the headaches caused by traditional portable air conditioners, which often require you to empty water collection buckets many times during the day.

Electronic Controls

The CPN12XC9/H9 features a variety of user-friendly controls to help you stay on top of operation. Use the electronic controls to set your desired operating mode, temperature, and fan speed. You can also program on/off operation using the built-in 24-hour timer. For example, you might set the unit to turn off automatically when you leave the room for the day and then to power back on at the time you plan to return. This not only saves energy, but ensures that you always come back to a cool environment. Features also include a full-function remote control to allow you to configure operating conditions from a comfortable distance.

Eco-Friendly

This Haier portable air conditioner was designed to have minimal impact on the environment. The unit uses R-410A refrigerant, an environmentally friendly refrigerant that does not contribute to the depletion of the Earth's ozone layer (unlike the commonly used R-22). The unit also complies with the RoHS Directive, or the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive. This directive restricts the use of six hazardous and toxic substances – including lead and mercury – in the manufacture of electronic and electrical equipment.
