How It Works
The HI-E Dry 195 high-efficiency dehumidifier utilizes refrigeration to cool the incoming air stream below its dew point as it passes through the dehumidification (evaporator) coil. This cooling results in the removal of moisture (latent heat). The cooled and dried air is used to pre-cool the incoming air stream resulting in up to a 200% increase in overall efficiency. After the pre-cooling stage, the processed air is reheated by passing it through the condenser coil. The latent heat removed by the evaporator coil is returned to the air stream at this stage as sensible heat, resulting in an overall temperature increase from the incoming air.

Product Features
This unit comes with a number of specially designed features that make dehumidifying your space even easier and more worry-free:

• Dehumidistat - The unit is controlled by a dehumidistat with positive ON and OFF settings and a variable setting range from 20% to 80%.
  
  
• Blower Switch - The unit contains a blower switch that permits continuous blower operation for filtration, independent of dehumidification.
  
  
• Portability - The unit allows for quick and easy portability as it comes with 4 wheels.
  
  
• Filters – The unit comes with two 2-inch thick, 35% efficient pleated fabric air filters that need regular maintenance; they can be vacuumed off multiple times before requiring replacement. The importance of cleaning the filters is directly tied to the unit’s ability to dehumidify the room; specifically, if the filters become too dirty, the system will loose capacity and efficiency, and this may cause the compressor to continuously cycle on and off.
  
  
• Internal Condensate Pump - The unit contains an internal condensate pump capable of lifting condensate 17 ft vertically. A 20 ft condensate hose is included.
  
  
• Power Cord - The power cord is factory installed, 6 ft long, and 115 volt with ground.
  
  
• Low Temperature Operation - Low temperatures are not a problem for these units either, as they are able to work down to 35°F.
  
  
• Ducting - There is also the option of ducting the unit so that you can dehumidify in multiple spaces or hide the unit out of sight.

Ducting Options
Ducting the HI-E 195 allows you several options for using it in multiple spaces at any one time. It also allows you to hide your dehumidifier away in a storage space or place it wherever you need. There are three options available to configure the unit:

• Leave the unit unducted to work in an open space.
• Duct multiple rooms for air to flow simultaneously.
• Duct one room and have it to blow the air into the next room, or vice versa.

An optional remote dehumidistat can be purchased to use with this unit. It works very similarly to a thermostat for an air conditioner; it is activated when the moisture level in a separate space rises above a specific threshold.
