Comments about Hi-E Dry Vehere Dehumidifier:
We just completed a project to enclose our pool and spa with a solarium. Even though we live in Southern California I knew humidity would be a problem. This was the best unit I could find that would be easy to use in the pool room. I didn't need to put in any additional electrical outlets and had it plugged in and working immediately.
Prior to using the unit we had a lot of condensation during the cold weather. This was significantly reduced by the unit, but it did run many hours per day. It is January right now and we are heating the pool to 86 degrees plus I have a floating cover. Now the unit runs only part-time when we have the cover off and are using the pool or spa.
When first plugged in I didn't see any condensation draining for several minutes and was getting concerned, but obviously there is some internal tank that had to fill first then the stream was continuous. Also I found the cord a bit short for my use, I used a 6 foot appliance extension cord to move the unit to the most favorable location. As the unit does exhaust some warm air I did find that I could improve condensation removal by directing the exhaust in particular directions.
