The HCM-6009 cool mist humidifier features a Protec Pure Moisture System. This system produces cleaner, fresher moisture using a three-step process. First, an air-washing pre-filter captures dirt, dust, and pollen particles. Next, a Protec Cleaning Cartridge, constructed with patented media that inhibits the growth of bacteria and mold, prevents mineral buildup inside the humidifier. Lastly, a Protec antimicrobial-treated wick filter helps prevent the growth and migration of odor-causing mildew, algae, and fungus both on the surface of the filter and inside the unit. The antimicrobial treatment has been proven to elongate the life of the filter so that your humidifier produces cleaner, fresher moisture for longer periods of time.

This Honeywell humidifier is equipped with an Advanced Mist Humidistat that automatically maintains your desired moisture level. Simply set the humidity level to your personal preference, and the unit will cycle on and off continuously to maintain that level and keep you comfortable. The whole house unit also features 3 output speeds. Use the low speed at times when only minimum moisture is needed or for quieter operation while you sleep. The medium speed is best for everyday moisture control. For fast humidification, select the high speed. The humidifier’s manual knob controls help you easily adjust the humidity level and speed.
