Whether you want to quickly heat your immediate area or deliver long-term even heating to an entire room, the Honeywell HZ-617 Whole Room Baseboard Heater has you covered. This convection heater is equipped with two heating modes: a Blast option and a convection heating mode. The Blast option, the unit provides additional power to warm to bring you quick, comfortable warmth. In standard convection heating mode, the unit disperses even, consistent heat to your entire space. With multiple heating options, a low profile design, and virtually silent operation, the HZ-617 heater is perfect for warming up bedrooms, dens, offices, and living areas.

Easy Automatic Heating

To keep you cozy and comfortable at all times, the HZ-617 whole room heater automatically maintains your desired temperature setting. To use this feature, simply set the adjustable thermostat to your desired temperature. In addition to taking the guesswork out of long-term heater operation, this feature helps you save on energy costs.

Numerous Safety Features

The Honeywell HZ-617 whole room heater has numerous safety features to give you peace of mind during operation. These features include:

Auto-off Hi-Limit Switch– This switch shuts off the unit if the high temperature limit is reached.
SafeGuard Alert Badge – This indicator changes color from black to red when the grille is hot in order to prevent burn injuries.
Tip-Over Protection – This function automatically disables heater operation if it is accidentally tipped over. It is especially useful with pets and young children around.
Stable Power Supply – The HZ-617 portable heater uses a heavy-duty power cord and a 3-prong grounded plug to protect against electrical shocks.
Backup Thermal Circuit Breaker – Permanently shuts down the heater if it operates at higher than normal temperatures.

I have had this product for a few weeks now and I must say that I have been pleasantly surprised! I have a family room with vaulted ceilings and a drafty entryway. This baseboard heater warms the room very efficiently and reduces the amount of time that my household heater runs. I have been very pleased!

I like the product and will use it this winter,but there was no owners manual with it.
trying to get one is very hard to do. If anyone buys this product they will have to use the internet to get a owners manual from the manufacture. You can't talk to a live person on the phone it is all computers.

The HZ617 is worth the $70 I paid for it. I wanted the Consumer Reports "Best Buy" 800 series but all distributors were out of stock. As it turns out this model is the same except it only has 2 fan speeds instead of 4. No big deal and I saved about $15.

Really did the trick in supplementing the heat in a basement studio sized apartment in a split level home. The 1st time the temperature got to 70 degrees downstairs and upstairs at the same time!
