I bought this to replace my old humidifier. Luckily, it fit inside the same size opening as the previous humidifier, which wasn't a Honeywell, so sizes must be somewhat standard. I also had the wires from the previous set up so I was able to do the job without purchasing the installation kit.

The unit came with an installation CD which was very helpful, except for the wiring portion, which went thru the steps extremely fast and wasn't very clear to an accountant layperson like me. I ended up researching online to verify I had everything wired correctly. In the end, the wiring made sense and I realized I may have worried too much about having it wired wrong. I plugged it in and it works like a charm. House feels nice and comfy now.

Excellent product and easy to maintain, the filters are not bad in price - anywhere from $19.00 to $26.00, however they do last all season. This is the 9th season I have had my HE260 humidifier and it is all I need to be comfortable. The whole house keeps a steady flow of moist warm air. This is the best I have had over the years and I had two other humidifiers that were worth nothing and that's about what they did.

The Honeywell Whole House Humidifier is well constructed and very effective. Installation is for the advanced Do It Yourself installer. Instructions are clear, operation is simple. This is the second such unit I have purchased and installed, as I have two homes in North Georgia. Always purchase the stand-alone Installation Kit with this product.
