Professional Control Airborne Particulates
The IQAir® Cleanroom Series has been designed specifically for the removal of airborne particles. The systems feature the highest air delivery and longest filter life of any IQAir particle filter system. To allow for maximum air delivery the systems contain no gas phase filtration.
The Cleanroom Series provides a choice of 2 models, each with a specific filter efficiency and air delivery profile. While healthcare facilities may require higher air delivery to achieve optimum control of microorganisms (e.g. in ICUs or TB isolation rooms), a cleanroom facility may need a filtration efficiency of 99.97% to meet strict manufacturing regulations or standards.
Positive and Negative Pressure Environments
Each IQAir® Cleanroom system can be used as a recirculation device or it can be combined with IQAir's ducting adapters InFlow W125 or OutFlow W125 to create positive and negative pressure environments. The creation of negative pressure helps to contain harmful particles, such as microorganisms, in a particular area (e.g. TB isolation).
The creation of positive pressure helps to protect clean areas from contaminants entering from adjacent rooms (e.g. protective isolation of immuno-compromised patients, controlled environments for medical device manufacturing).
Decentralized Airborne Infection Control in Health-Care Facilities
Airborne pathogens in health-care environments pose a particular risk to immuno-compromised patients who may inhale fungal spores, bacteria and viruses. Airborne microorganisms can not only complicate recovery from surgery, but can also lead to life-threatening infections, costing health-care services hundreds of millions every year.
Hospital-acquired aspergillosis for example has been recognized increasingly as a cause of severe illness and high mortality in immuno-compromised individuals, e.g. patients undergoing chemotherapy and/or organ or bone marrow transplants. In the light of the marked increase in nosocomial infections over recent years, many of which are caused by drug-resistant pathogens, the importance of using high-efficiency air filtration systems beyond the confines of so-called "critical areas" (such as operation theatres) has once again been emphasized. Both the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), advise that, wherever possible, preventive infection control measures should be implemented to reduce the risk of nosocomial infections.

Ultra-Quiet
Design
With its large fan motor, the IQ Air Cleanroom H13
system produces more clean air with less noise than conventional
air cleaners.
Unlike most air cleaners, which have the fan motor located after all filter stages,
IQ Air systems have the fan in the center, in-between its noise absorbing filters.
All systems also feature a unique double-walled housing design to reduce sound
transmission.
Eight shock absorbers, which hold the fan ensure that vibration isn't transmitted
to the housing.
The results are impressive. IQ Air systems are suitable for even the most noise
sensitive environments and are virtually inaudible at the lowest fan speed setting.
In addition, with the timer control function, the unit
can be programmed to turn on only after a person has reached a deep
slumber state.
Advanced
Controls
Intelligent Filter Life Monitor
Ordinary air cleaners have you guess when to replace filters
or use a preset timer. The intelligent filter life monitor takes actual
use, speed settings and air quality conditions into account. This ensures
maximum filter yield and performance from your IQ Air system.

Up to Six Fan Speed Settings
Most air cleaners provide only two or three fan speed
settings. You have to run the unit either on a quiet but ineffective
fan speed, or choose a more powerful, but noisy speed. H13 purifiers
give you the choice of up to six fan speeds, allowing you to select
the ideal performance-to-sound ratio.
Integrated Timer
Each
air cleaner can be programmed to run automatically. Set the unit
to run during office hours or program it in your bedroom to go on
after you have reached deep slumber.
Remote Control
Each system comes with a remote control which allows
you to turn the unit on and off, select the fan speed and activate
the timer.
Certified
Performance
In
an industry where most air cleaners don't actually meet their manufacturers'
claims, IQ Air tests and certifies each and every system. In our
Swiss production facility, each unit is tested for particle filtration
efficiency, filter leakage and air delivery. Each unit is issued
with its very own two-page Certificate of Performance, detailing
the test results for that very machine.
Easy
to Use & Quality Filters
Filter
Replacement
IQ Air systems feature a revolutionary modular tower design, which snaps open
to allow access to all filters in a matter of seconds.
Long
Filter Life
The filters are designed to last longer than those
in conventional air cleaners.
High-Efficiency Pre-Filtration
While most air cleaners use pre-filters with particle
efficiencies well below 20%, IQ Air systems typically retain over
90% of particle mass in the pre-filter. As a result, the gas phase
filters are better protected from premature loading.
Independent Filter Stages
Conventional air cleaners often combine several filter
types in one filter cartridge. As a result, the whole cartridge has
to be replaced even if only one filter type is used up.
Large Filters
To minimize manufacturing cost, most air cleaners
use very little filter material. IQ Air uses commercial size filters
that are able to collect more pollutants and last longer.
Triple
Seal Design
The efficiency stated for most air cleaners is
purely theoretical. Internal leakage drastically reduces the actual
efficiency of most air cleaners.
IQ Air cleanroom systems feature patented triple sealing technology. First,
a unique process ensures that the filter media is 100% sealed in the filter
frame. Second, our patented 3D UltraSeal ensures perfect sealing between filter
frame and housing. Third, individual seals on each housing module ensure an
air tight housing. As a result, these air purifiers have an actual system efficiency
which is higher than the theoretical efficiency of conventional air cleaners.
High-Quality
Fan
These air filters use the highest quality fan motor
available. The centrifugal, backward curved fan has an astonishing
700 cfm (1200 m3/h) rating. Because each fan is individually balanced
and uses steel ball bearings, it outlasts other fans by years.
No-Draft
Design
Most air cleaners return the air through a small
outlet, which creates annoying air drafts. These units are designed
to avoid drafts by evenly returning cleaned air through a large
320° vented diffuser.
Energy
Efficient
Even though IQ Air purifiers are very powerful,
they are also energy efficient. Outstanding energy efficiency is
achieved with a very efficient fan and an advanced fan control
setup. As a result, it cost only pennies per day to run these units.
Tough
Construction
Many high-end air cleaners are made from sheet metal which dents easily and
where the paint scratches and chips. Many department store air cleaners use
inferior plastics which shatter easily. Built to last and look great for a
lifetime, these units are manufactured from fully cured, high-grade injection
molded ABS. A 3 mm (0.125 inch) housing thickness makes them extremely impact
resistant.
