The interchangeable cartridge design of this air purifier allows you to use choose the gas phase media configuration that best suits your needs. Choose between the GCX VOC cartridge, the GCX Multigas cartridge, the GCX Chemisorber cartridge, and the GCX AM cartridge. Additionally, a HEPA pre-filter removes 98% of airborne particulates up to 0.3 microns while four post-filter sleeves prevent activated carbon and chemisorptions abrasion particles from entering your environment. This robust filtration design provides almost 75% more gas media and 20% more airflow than standard GC air purifiers.

Along with maximum odor, gas, and particle filtration, the IQAir GCX Multigas Air Purifier comes with intuitive controls for ease of operation, an ultra-quiet design for improved room comfort, and high-quality construction to ensure many years of clean air.

Advanced Air Filtration

IQAir GCX Series air cleaners were designed to tackle the toughest gas, odor, and particulate contaminants in a variety of indoor environments – including hospitals, laboratories, commercial spaces, and light industrial areas. To achieve the best possible air quality in these environments, this IQAir purifier boasts a three-stage filtration system that includes a HEPA pre-filter, four specialized gas phase cartridges, and four micro-charged post-filter sleeves.

First, air passes through the IQAir GCX Series pre-filter to eliminate micro- and nano-particles like allergens, smoke, bacteria, and viruses. This HEPA pre-filter works to extend the life of your gas phase media by preventing unwanted particulates from clogging cartridge pores.

Following the removal of unwanted particulates, the air is filtered through the GCX cartridges. Depending on your gas and odor removal need, you can choose between four gas phase media options:

• GCX VOC: These cartridges are great for removal of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), such as benzene, butane, chloroform, ethylene oxide, freon 11, sulfuric acid, toluene, and xylene. VOCs are often emitted by common office and household items like cleaning supplies, hobby products, building materials, furnishing, office copiers and printers, and more.


• GCX Chemisorber: To target and remove formaldehyde, hydrogen, sulfide, sulfur dioxide, and other chemical irritants, these cartridges are a great line of defense.


• GCX AM: For elimination of ammonia, amines, ammonia-based odors and particles, and other ammonia-based compounds, use the GCX AM cartridges.


• GCX Multigas: If you need to control a wide range of gaseous organic and inorganic compounds, this set of cartridges is your best bet. GCX Multigas cartridges target acetic acid, acetone, dimethylamine, methanol, ozone, vinyl chloride, styrene, hydrogen chloride, isopropanol, methylamine, and many more.

Each of these GCX cartridge sets contains up to 17 pounds of granular and/or pellet-shaped gas phase control media. The individual cartridges feature a cylindrical shape to increase contact and ensure high-efficiency irritant removal. For improved airflow rates, the cartridges also have a large surface area.

Finally, the air is cycled through GCX Series post-filter sleeves. These post-filter sleeves eliminate activated carbon and chemisorptions abrasion particles to ensure that only the cleanest air is redistributed throughout your environment.

Smart Control Panel

The filtration system and its corresponding parts are the cornerstone of IQAir GCX air purifiers. To make sure that the cleanest air is consistently circulating throughout your indoor environment, IQAir engineers included an intuitive control panel to help you keep track of your air cleaner's performance. One of the most impressive features of the IQAir GCX Chemisorber air purifier control panel is the Intelligent Filter Life Monitor, which takes the guesswork out of filter replacements. The Intelligent Filter Life Monitor takes into account actual use, speed settings, and air quality conditions to give you an accurate life estimate for your current air filters.

The control panel also gives users the ability to toggle between six effective fan speeds and program the air purifier to turn on and off at convenient times for you. The included remote control allows you to quickly and easily turn the unit on and off, adjust the fan speed, and activate the timer from a distance.
