The difference between a Health Pro and a Health Pro Plus IQ Air cleaner is the Plus has this V5-Cell filter as its F2 filter. For it to work efficiently, you have to continue running your air cleaner no matter what. If you turn off your air cleaner and leave it off for a few days and then try to run it again, this and other filters may emit some funny odor. Also, do not ever order any extra replacement filters until the change lights for them turn RED. Some times it took a while for it to change from yellow to red. Order too early and let your replacement filter just sit there may mess them up. If you observe these few tips, then this carbon filter really works and remove odor better than any other air cleaners I know and tried. I tried many of them.

We purchased the IQ Air HealthPro Plus filter system about 4 years ago to address frequent allergy symptoms. We chose the IQ Air Plus system after doing some research, including less costly systems. The reviews were excellent, and it was rated for areas that would service our entire living area. The system has been running flawlessly for 4 years virtually non-stop. We are sure it has markedly improved the air quality in our home and we have no regrets about avoiding the bargain systems and going to this unit with the charcoal gas and odor filter.

The V-5 Carbon Gas and Odor filter as part of the Plus system was a key component of our decision. We have smokers in the house, and the living area is open to the kitchen, and we wanted the extra filtration to address that. Although impossible for a homeowner to test performance, our opinion is that it does what is advertised. We are very glad we went with the IQAir System with the IQ Carbon filter option of the Plus system.

The change out of the filter is straight-forward; swing the arms away from the unit to lower and decompress the filter stack, which allows access to each of the filters. Once open, the change of the filter takes just a minute. Make sure everything is aligned, and then the arms swing up and compress all the filters so there is NO leakage around the filters. Reset the digital control to start tracking use of the new filter, and you are done. There may be fine charcoal apparent at first as the filter is unpacked and installed, but once installed and running, that is gone. We would strongly recommend the system and replacing this filter at recommended intervals (when the unit signals it is nearing the end of its life).

As following direction, It was so simple and easy.
One thing you must aware is the black dust(charcoal powder?)
I prepared babywipes and vacuum cleaner at first, then handled the box gently so I didn't have any trouble because of the dust.
Now we are having much fresher air. Some people complained about the smell which is kind of sour smell but It doesn't bothered me from the first time I started using this Air Purifier. It makes me feel the air cool and clean.

This carbon filter really works. It helps get rid of all the funny smell but you have to keep your IQAir running, do not ever turn it off or your filter may emit some sour odor. It happened to me.
