If you live in a dry climate, this is a good unit to help cool a smaller room. The fan can be loud on high, but is fine on low over night. You'll only need to re-fill the water every few days. A much more economical option than an air conditioner & no need to vent - though it helps a bit if the window is open a little.

Sturdy, sleek design. Really does push out cooler air. However, it is important to read the pamphlet and follow the product maintenance instructions. Do not allow the tank to sit filled with water for any great length of time. This will erode the mechanisms and filter, and the machine won't operate to its full capacity. I find that if I drain the tank and run the fan until it's dry, once a week, the machine works fine. There's no hose to put in a window and there's no ice needed to get cold air with this unit. Perfect for small spaces like a bedroom or efficiency apartment. Just add water!
