KuulAire KA55 Portable Evaporative Cooler

The KuulAire KA55 Portable Evaporative Cooler combines hassle-free operation and lightweight design, making it a great solution for on-the-go cooling in arid climates. Convenient grip handles and sturdy rolling casters make it easy to transport the swamp cooler from place to place and a 7.9-gallon water reservoir provides longer operation. The Port-A-Cool PACKA55 Evaporative Cooler is equipped with three fan speeds and an airflow rate of 525 CFM.  

Unlike refrigerant air conditioners, which cool using refrigerant gas, the Port-A-Cool PACKA55 Evaporative Cooler uses the natural process of water evaporation. First, hot air is drawn into the evaporative cooler through the vents and passes through a damp evaporative cooling pad. When the moving air is brought into contact with the water-saturated pad, evaporation occurs as the heat from the hot air causes the water molecules to transform into a gas. The evaporative cooling pad absorbs the heat out of the air and the powerful fan disperses fresh, cool air throughout your space. This can be soothing if you live in climate that lacks humidity.

• Adjustable Water Flow: The water flow regulator allows you to adjust the humidity and cooling level of the air dispensed through the air grille.
• Oscillating Louvers: The KuulAire PACKA55 Evaporative Cooler features automatic swing louvers that allow you to direct cool air in a horizontal or vertical direction.


• Low Water Indicator: When water is below the minimum level, the low water alarm will sound and the low water icon will flash on the digital display panel.
• Automatic Shut-Off: When the water tank is depleted, the water pump will automatically shut off until the tank is replenished.


• Remote Control: A convenient remote control allows you to operate your KuulAire KA55 swamp cooler and adjust the speed, cool, automatic swing, and timer settings from a distance. This cooler also features a remote control holder on the top of the unit.

Digital Control Panel

With an electronic control panel and a convenient remote control, the KuulAire PACKA55 Portable Evaporative Cooler is a breeze to operate. The digital control panel and remote control feature buttons to control the power, timer, speed settings, cool operation, and automatic swing louvers.

The digital display panel is located on the top of the air cooler for easy accessibility. This electronic control panel features soft-touch buttons, an electronic display screen, and LED indicators that display which operation mode is in use. The KuulAire KA55 Evaporative Cooler is also equipped with an 8-hour timer. To program the timer, press the timer button. Each time the button is pressed, 30 minutes are added to the operating time.

Dual Purpose Air Cooler

The KuulAire KA55 Evaporative Cooler can be used as a fan or evaporative cooler. For fan-only operation, empty the water tank and select your desired fan speed. There are three speed settings: high, medium, and low.

To enable the evaporative cooler function, fill the tank with water using the water fill tray. The water tray, located on the top of the air cooler, makes it easy to add water; while a water level indicator on the side of the unit helps you avoid overfilling the tank. The water tank holds up to 7.9 gallons, which provides approximately nine hours of operation.

Things to Consider

• Made for Dry Climates Only: Swamp coolers are not made for humid climates. Look into purchasing an AC unit or fan if you don't live in an arid environment.
