The Miele Active Air Clean Filter (AAC 30) combines the Super Air Clean filter with an active charcoal cassette to absorb odors from the dustbag. This is a perfect filter for homes with pets. The Miele Active Air Clean Filter (AAC 30) retains 99.95% of particles down to 0.5 of a micron (only 1& 1/200th the width of a strand of human hair). The Miele AAC-30 Active Air Clean filter needs to be replaced after 50 hours of use, or approximately 12 months. There is also a convenient spot to write the date on the filter, which takes the guesswork out of when the filter should be replaced. Suitable for Miele S2 series canister and S7 series upright vacuum cleaners. Miele product number 07226140.

I've been using these filters to control dog smells in my house. I have a German shepherd that's also my "baby," and he lives inside the house. The filters are highly effective in keeping odors down. I am really pleased.
