The Miele Active HEPA filter (AH 30) not only captures and retains tiny, lung-damaging particles (including dust mite feces and pollen), it also uses the same activated charcoal filter to absorb odors. This Miele filter conforms to the new stringent European standard for filtration (EN 1822), which means that it actually traps 99.99% of all particles as tiny as 0.3 of a micron. The Miele AH-30 HEPA filter needs to be replaced after 50 hours of use, or approximately 12 months. There is also a convenient spot to write the date on the filter, which takes the guesswork out of when the filter should be replaced. Suitable for Miele S2 series canister and S7 series upright vacuum cleaners. Miele product number 07226160.

This vacuum cleaner is great. It is quieter and easier to use than any vacuum cleaner I have ever used. It lays almost flat to get under coffee tables and swivels to get around furniture more easily. I have a large, long haired dog and two cats so the shedding is pretty profuse. This vacuum cleaner easily sweeps up the fur from the wood floors, tile floors and carpet and can get in close to walls and corners. Then I use the hose and extra long attachment to finish up along the baseboards and to get the cobwebs from corners along the ceiling. I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner even if you don't have pets. It will keep your house very clean.
