Basically as the title says this replaced a Dyson DC23 as my wife was finding that particular unit hard to maneuver and I was finding it gross to empty out. My mother has had a miele S314 for more than 10 years and she is still extremely happy with it so we decided to buy the Libra. We have hardwood floors with some medium pile area rugs. I actually vacuumed and found it easy to push along. The power head that comes with this unit is not height adjustable but lowering the suction power to the default setting (the one with the ear) worked great on our area rugs. After giving the apartment a thorough vaacuming I was impressed by all the dirt and lint that this unit managed to pull out. I listed the price of bags/filters as a con but in my opinion the mess it saves you vs. a "bagless" unit is worth the cost, I also listed that as a con since my wife vaacums about 2-3 times a week.
